Starting with more obvious logos for film festivals, I gradually evolved to a less obvious logo. This was done to create a sense of curiosity or if the viewer is familiar with the films, he or she will recognize the mark. I found that most of the site maps for other film festivals were too cluttered and made it difficult for the viewer to navigate. I wanted a simple layout that was effective, without being overbearing. It was very important to me to make sure that the pages had a similar feel to one another and the movies as well.

This project began with a search of popular film festival websites. I decided in my research to create a Quentin Tarantino Film Festival website that I needed to make it look grungy yet modern to emulate the feeling Tarantino portrays in his films. Tarantino's films are thrilling and dark at the same time. They are humorous in some moments and bloody in the next.
